Neneveh Nikola, MA

Counseling Associate

Neneveh works with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. As a therapist, Neneveh understands the initial importance of building rapport with the client, as rapport has evidently shown to be of utmost importance when it comes to encouraging change in a person's life. Neneveh approaches her clients with a Psychodynamic approach combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). What does this mean? That means she wants to get to the root of your problem and go on a journey together in picking apart the pieces that led the client to where they are today. Combining this with CBT, that allows for the client to recognize their thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns, and then try to break that cycle, so that the client can be their own therapist outside of the office. Neneveh strives to create healthy and self-sufficient clients where therapy was the turning point in their journey.

Education: Neneveh received her Master’s in Clinical Psychology Counseling Practice from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She completed her clinical rotation at the City Colleges of Chicago and provided mental health aid to college-aged students as they navigated the pandemic and adjusted to college life. Neneveh has a background in ABA therapy and working with kids with Autism, paired alongside parents to help them better understand their child and how they can help them. Neneveh’s experience working in Community Mental Health allowed her to work with diverse populations, lead groups, and assist individuals in managing their home and social lives.
